A few things to keep in mind when using Fan-to-Fan Resale

  • Fan-to-Fan Resale may be removed at any time at the event, tour or venue’s discretion.
  • Not all events or tickets are available for Fan-to-Fan Resale. If you don’t see a “Sell” button or it's grayed out, selling your tickets through Ticketmaster is not available.
  • Tickets purchased over the phone with Ticketmaster or through a third party are not available for Fan-to-Fan Resale through Ticketmaster.
  • In order to resell your tickets for events in the US, you must have a US bank account.

The name on the ticket is the name of the original purchaser. This will not affect your ability to enter the event. The barcode is what is needed for entrance.

Not all events or tickets are available for resale. If you don’t see a “Sell” button, selling your tickets through Ticketmaster is not available. Tickets purchased over the phone with Ticketmaster or through a third party are not available for resale through Ticketmaster. If you don’t see a “Sell” button under your Order Details, selling your tickets through Ticketmaster is not available.

Tickets purchased over the phone with Ticketmaster or through a third party are not available for resale through Ticketmaster.

First, find the two deposits (each less than $1) in the checking account you used for your seller profile. These deposits may take 3-5 business days to be made after your tickets sell.

Then sign in to your Ticketmaster account from a desktop or laptop (you can't verify these deposits from a mobile device)

  1. Click Payment Options under Account Settings
  2. Click the Verify Now button under Selling Tickets
  3. Enter the deposits in the boxes
  4. Click "Submit"

You'll get paid in 7-10 business days once your account is verified. And you won’t have to do this again unless your account info changes.

Sign in to your Ticketmaster account and follow these simple steps:

  1. Click Payment Options under Account Settings
  2. Click the Delete button under Selling Tickets
  3. Click the Add Debit Card/Bank Account button under Selling Tickets (If you don't have a US bank account you can't sell tickets)
  4. Choose Checking or Savings
  5. Enter your new account info
  6. Click Submit 

Once your updated account info is verified you'll get paid in 7-10 business days.

Yes, you will be able to get a refund.  See below for more info:

Canceled Events
We will automatically refund your order amount (except UPS fees) to the method of payment used for purchase. All refunds should be received within 7-10 business days after we learn the event is canceled.

Postponed Events
If your event has been postponed and you’re unable to attend the new dates, we will refund unless it is a MLB Fan-to-Fan resale ticket, which are nonrefundable, please Contact Fan Support for assistance.

While you can't list season tickets directly from your Ticketmaster account, you can always list season tickets from your Account Manager account, and they'll appear on Ticketmaster (in addition to TicketsNow and the league ticket exchanges) if your team has authorized Fan-to-Fan resale on Ticketmaster too.

If you cannot exchange your tickets, you may be able to sell them – look for the SELL button located in your ticket order within My Account to see if resale is available. If the sell button does not appear, you can always try to list your tickets for sale on Ticketsnow.com, a Ticketmaster Company.

We are continuously working with artists, teams, and venues to include 100% verified Fan-to-Fan resale tickets for more of their events.

We can't verify tickets bought from a 3rd party.

The only way to know your tickets are the authentic, is to buy Ticketmaster “Verified Tickets” directly from Ticketmaster or Live Nation, or get them at the venue box office. These tickets will always be 100% authentic.

All other tickets purchased through Ticketmaster should be valid for entry. If a ticket bought on Ticketmaster does not gain you access to your event, please Contact Us and we will refund your tickets, including all fees, on the same card used for purchase.

If your tickets are sold, we will automatically notify you via email. To check on the status of your posted tickets, just log into My Account. You'll receive payment in 7-10 business days.

Remember you'll have to verify 2 small deposits if getting paid by direct deposit.

Edit or remove a listing

  1. Login to My Account and tap on your order to view tickets
  2. Click the “Edit” or “Remove” button

Please note: At times, the face value of a ticket is the minimum price a ticket can be resold for. This may be restricted by the venue, artist or promoter of the event at their own discretion.

This only applies to assigned seats. General Admission (GA) or lawn seats will be sold in any quantity.

If you’re selling 2 tickets, yes – they’ll always be sold as a pair. Beyond that, here’s how it breaks down:

3 tickets – sold as 1 or 3
4 tickets – sold as 2 or 4
5 tickets – sold as 1, 2, 3, or 5
6 tickets – sold as 2, 4, or 6
7 tickets – sold as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7
8 tickets – sold as 2, 4, 6, or 8

If you post 9 or more tickets, they can be sold in any amount.

Creating a listing to sell your tickets is always free. However, when your tickets are sold, a service fee is collected from the total selling price of your tickets. During the setup process you’ll be able to view all of the details before finalizing your ticket listing.

Did you purchase tickets, but now see better seats available? We can help! If you see seats you prefer that are the same price or higher for your event, call 800-653-8000 to exchange the ones you have. One exchange per person, per event at participating venues. It’s our Fan Guarantee! Exchange fees may apply.

A few things to note – we are unable to exchange tickets for any events that are:

  • Less than 7 days away
  • Resale tickets, VIP, Platinum, and other premium tickets
  • Tickets purchased with additional items or bundled products, such as merchandise
  • Tickets that are later discounted
  • Tickets for non-participating venues (and artists, teams, etc.) that have a “no refunds or exchanges” policy
  • Exchanges for tickets of lesser value are not allowed

For ticket insurance refunds, please contact the insurance provider.

Postponed or Rescheduled Events

When events are postponed or rescheduled, you’ll need to connect with us.

  • You will be contacted via phone or email with the new event information as soon as we are updated
  • Unless notified otherwise, your tickets will be valid for the new event date
  • If you are unable to make the new event date and refunds have been approved by  the artist, team, venue, or promoter, you will see a “Refund” button within your order in your My Account

How to request a Refund in My Account

  1. Sign into My Account and select your order to view your tickets
  2. Click the “Refund” button
  3. Select the tickets you’d like to submit a refund for
  4. Review the details and submit
  5. Refunds should be received within 7-10 business days

Please Contact Fan Support if you do not see a “Refund” button under your order, you may have purchased additional items such as parking or a resale ticket.

If the “Sell” button does not appear, you may also try to repost your tickets for sale on Ticketsnow.com, a Ticketmaster Company.

If you purchased tickets online or over the phone, we will let you know the event is canceled and automatically refund your order amount (except UPS fees) to the credit card used to complete your purchase. If you purchased over the phone, orders will not automatically appear in your account. You can still search for your order using the phone and credit card numbers used for purchase (option not available on a mobile device). 

Go to the "View All Orders" section in your account to find the search option. See example HERE. You will be able to view your order info and print a receipt; however, you will not be able to print tickets.

If the event happened more than 90 days ago or if you purchased over the phone over 90 days ago, please Contact Fan Support.

If you purchased Fan-to-Fan Resale tickets it may take up to 24 hrs for your order to appear in your account. If it has been more than 24 hours since your order was placed, please Contact Us for additional information.

Some performers, teams, and venues release their tickets with a delivery delay. A delivery delay is used to prevent tickets from being accessed until we can confirm everyone has adhered to the event ticket limit and didn’t use unfair ticket technology to buy in bulk. In other words, we want to make sure no one has ordered more than their fair share of tickets and the process is fair.

Delivery information is provided within your purchase confirmation email, on your order in My Account, or on the event page. If you haven’t received your tickets two days (48 hours) before the event, please Contact Fan Support so we may assist.

If you chose Print-at-Home as your delivery method:

  1. Go to My Account on a computer or laptop (no mobile devices).
  2. Sign in with the same email used for purchase.
  3. Click your order and look for the "Print Tickets" button.
  4. You will need Adobe Reader to print your tickets. Download it HERE.

If you do not see the Print Tickets button then printing is not an option.

Tickets may or may not be eligible for refunds. If the event provider is participating in our Fan Guarantee, your tickets are fully refundable for three days after you purchase them, and up until one week before the event.* See participating venues and teams.

If your event is not eligible for a refund, you can always try to list your tickets for sale through Ticketmaster or repost your tickets for sale on Ticketsnow.com, a Ticketmaster Company.

*Exceptions include VIP, Platinum and other premium tickets, tickets purchased through resale, tickets purchased with additional related items or bundled products, tickets subsequently offered at a discount, and tickets for participating teams' away games.

No. When selling your tickets on Ticketmaster, no form of pre-payment is ever required. Only once your tickets are sold will the service fee be deducted from the total selling price.
