If an artist is running a ticket request, they’ll invite fans to request tickets so you don’t have to compete in a first-come, first-served sale.
You can take your time to review the available options and request the right tickets for you. All you need to do is tell us which shows you’re interested in, the type of ticket you want and your payment details. If the tickets you request can be fulfilled your card will be charged and we’ll email you instructions to access them in the Ticketmaster App.
Submitting a request doesn’t guarantee tickets.
To request tickets, follow these steps:
- Visit the artist’s request page.
- Select which shows you’re interested in and the type of ticket you want.
- Add your payment details.
We’ll send you a summary email that details the shows and tickets you’ve requested. Your card won’t be charged at this time. We may charge a temporary $1 authorization to your card to validate your request.
Can I request tickets for more than one show?
The option to select multiple shows will vary by event. If the artist has chosen to let fans request multiple shows, and you’ve placed the request, you’re committing to purchase the tickets should they be fulfilled. For example, if you request tickets for five shows, it is possible your tickets will be fulfilled for all five shows in which case your credit card will be charged for tickets to all five shows.
Some tours may dictate that you can only request tickets to a selection of shows. If so, this will be detailed on the request page.
Is there a ticket limit?
It depends on the event, but most events will have a ticket limit. This allows for as many fans as possible to get tickets. Some artists may offer their fan club members added benefits, including access to more tickets or certain packages. The full details of each ticket request program will be available on the event page.
What happens after I submit a request?
We’ll send you a summary email that details the shows and tickets you’ve requested. Your card won’t be charged at this time. We may charge a temporary $1 authorization to your card to validate your request.
After the request window has closed, you’ll get an email confirming if any of your requested tickets have been fulfilled. If fulfilled, your card will be charged, and we’ll send an email to let you know. At that point, you can view your order in your Ticketmaster Account. All sales are final and refunds will not be available.
If the tickets within your request can’t be fulfilled, your card won’t be charged. There may be other other opportunities to purchase tickets, which you can find on the Ticketmaster event page.
What if I don’t like the tickets I get?
Tickets are allocated by the Event Organizer to maximize the number of successful requests, and your card will be charged at the time if any of your requested tickets are fulfilled. All sales are final.
Who do I contact if I have questions about my ticket request?
Email us at support.request@ticketmaster.com and include your receipt number, email associated with the request and the last four numbers of the credit card used to submit your request.
Can I add another date to my request?
To add an additional date to your request, just submit a new request that includes tickets to both shows. Only the most recent request per account is counted. This means if you request tickets for one date, and then go back to request tickets for a second, it will automatically cancel your original request for the first date.
Can I change my request?
You’ll need to submit a new request during the request window. To submit a new request, return to the event’s request page and sign in. Your new request will override any previous requests.
Can I cancel a request?
You can cancel your request at any time during the request window. To cancel, return to the event’s request page and sign in. Select My Request in the top right menu, and follow the instructions.
No cancellations will be accepted once the request window closes.
When will my card be charged?
Your card will be charged once the request window closes and if any of your requested tickets have been fulfilled. Each event may have different closing times, so make sure you check the details before submitting your request.
To avoid declined transactions, please make sure your card has available funds to cover your maximum total. If your card is declined, you will lose your tickets.
Why did I receive a $1 hold on my card?
We may charge a temporary $1 authorization to your card to validate your request.
What will the charge look like on my statement?
The charge will appear as Request* Ticketmaster, unless otherwise stated on the request confirmation page or in your notification email.
Why was my credit card charged before receiving an email confirming my tickets were fulfilled?
Your bank may be slightly ahead and post a charge to your account before our emails are sent out. Check the email associated with your requested tickets and search for an email from Ticketmaster Request Support.
To see if transfer or resale is available for your event, go to your order in your Ticketmaster Account and look for the Transfer or Resale button.
If the artist has chosen to restrict transfer, this will be published in the event details. In these cases, the Artist may choose to use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange, allowing fans to sell any tickets they can’t use at the original price paid on Ticketmaster.
