With Ticket Transfer, you can transfer all or some of your tickets from one Ticketmaster Account to another. It’s easy, safe and completely free. When you transfer tickets to another fan and they accept them, the recipient is issued a new barcode that only they can use. The tickets in the sender’s account will no longer be valid for entry.
Ticket Transfer helps you send tickets to friends and family. It’s not used for exchanging tickets. If you’d like to exchange tickets, contact Fan Support.

How do I transfer tickets?
When you transfer tickets to another fan and they accept them, the recipient is issued a new barcode that only they can use. The tickets in the sender’s account will no longer be valid for entry.
To transfer your tickets, follow these steps:

- Sign into your Ticketmaster Account.
- Find your order in My Tickets.
- Select Transfer. If you receive a message that the Event Organizer hasn’t activated transfer, your tickets aren’t eligible for transfer.
- You'll receive a text with a one-time code to verify your identity. Type in the code and select Confirm. Visit our help page to learn more.
- Select the tickets you'd like to transfer and select Transfer To.
- Enter your recipient's phone number or email address.
- Select Transfer Ticket.

- Sign into your team or venue's site. You can search for your team or venue by using the following link: https://am.ticketmaster.com/.
- Go to your events, select the event you’re transferring tickets for, then click Transfer. If you receive a message that the Event Organizer hasn’t activated transfer, your tickets aren’t eligible for transfer.
- You'll receive a text with a one-time code to verify your identity. Type in that code and select Confirm. Visit our help page to learn more.
- Select the tickets you'd like to transfer.
- Enter your recipient's phone number or email address.
- Tap Transfer.
Your transferred tickets will show in your account as sent. Once the recipient has accepted them, you’ll receive an email confirming the ticket has been accepted. After a successful Ticket Transfer, the ticket in your account is no longer valid for event entry.
How do I know if the tickets have been accepted?
Once you send a ticket, you’ll see either:
- Waiting to accept or Sent, which means your friends have not accepted the transferred tickets yet — remind them to check their Ticketmaster Account on Ticketmaster.com for the tickets or in their email or text messages for the transfer invite.
- Accepted by or Claimed, which means the transfer has been successful.
How do I accept transferred tickets?

- Tap the Sign in link in your text messages.
- Sign in or create a new account. Accepting season tickets or a ticket series? You may be directed to the team or venue’s site.
- View your tickets by going to My Tickets.

- Click the Accept Tickets link in your email.
- Sign in or create a new account — make sure you use the same email for your account and that the tickets were sent to.
- To view your tickets, select View Tickets.
Once you accept the ticket, the sender receives a notification letting them know the Ticket Transfer has been successful.

How do I cancel a ticket transfer?
Only the sender can cancel a ticket transfer. If your Ticket Transfer hasn’t been accepted by your recipient yet, you can cancel the transfer by simply following these steps:
- Sign into your Ticketmaster Account.
- Find your order in My Tickets.
- Select Cancel Transfer.
- Confirm you want to cancel the transfer by selecting Yes.
- Your ticket will be returned to your account.

Once you’ve canceled a transfer, you can re-transfer the ticket to someone else or keep it for yourself.
